Hospital Fire Safety (HFS) Certification: LAFD FIRE CARD

Hospital Fire & Life Safety Training: PINK CARD / BLUE CARD

This course is designed for healthcare professionals and the general public. It meets Los Angeles City healthcare facility requirements. Upon completion, participants will receive a certification card valid for four (4) years.

Each class is taught by an LAFD certified instructor and lasts approximately four (4) hours. The training includes:

• Basic Fire Chemistry: Understand the elements of fire, hazards of smoke inhalation, and identify the most dangerous types of fires.

• Fire Extinguisher Use: Learn about different types of fire extinguishers and how to use them effectively.
